Meet Wisk’s Airspace Integration Manager, Cash Castillo

February 26, 2025

At Wisk, we’re not just building aircraft, we’re developing an entirely new method of travel within the existing airspace. As Wisk’s Airspace Integration Senior Manager, Cash Castillo, says,

“We’re building highways in the sky for an aircraft that’s never been built or certified before.”

Similar to the infrastructure we have for all forms of ground transportation, Cash is working to systematically implement new routes within our airspace to operate alongside existing air traffic. He focuses on designing procedures that align with regulatory requirements, ensuring our aircraft can safely cohabitate the skies.

Currently, Cash is working with the City of Houston to identify and establish routes that will safely allow for more convenient travel between high-traffic locations.

In his words, “It’s just amazing. To be sitting in the passenger seat and say one day, we’re going to be flying these routes in a Wisk aircraft.”

Cash has long had a passion for autonomous aviation, already boasting an impressive resume in the field long before joining Wisk. Prior to joining our team, Cash worked at the Pentagon, managing a portfolio of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for the Department of Defense. His passion for autonomy and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) drew him to Wisk.

Cash’s favorite part about Wisk is its people. He remarks, “The people are amazing. Everyone is walking around with great attitudes, willing to help and contribute. It’s an amazing environment to work in.”

Cash is equally inspired by the work itself.  “I can’t wait to look back 20 years from now and proudly say, ‘We were the first to do that!’ I see myself on a platform, in Houston, watching for the first Wisk aircraft to leave the vertiport.”

As someone focused on integrating autonomous flight into the existing airspace, Cash is truly shaping the future of travel.  We are so grateful to Cash for his diligent work in making our vision a reality.
