Face Shields for Medical Workers

April 17, 2020

Wisk has been following the growing demand and resulting shortage of PPE (personal protective equipment) here in California and across our nation. Our team was concerned and wanted to take action to help.

In very little time, our Manufacturing team found an open source design, obtained materials, and started production. A small team is producing 300 hundred face shields per day and we have additional supplies coming to maintain steady production in the coming weeks.

“We are very proud to contribute to our medical community’s safety,” said Leon Villegas VP of Manufacturing at Wisk. “This is a critical time for us to come together and show our support to frontline medical workers. I am proud of how quickly our team came together and started contributing.”

Wisk will be donating the first batch of face shields to Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California and will adjust future donations based on greatest need.

We are proud of our Manufacturing team for taking the initiative and making a difference in our community during this crisis.
